LOW-EMISSION LNG

Low-emission energy

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is a low-emission energy source for the needs of industry and transport. It is a suitable fuel for a number of industrial processes, such as heating, drying and food production. In addition, LNG is a good alternative for the energy needs of transportation. Studies show that LNG generates over 20% less greenhouse gases than diesel and as much as 30% less CO2 than fuel oil. LNG generates no sulphur oxide or particle emissions and as much as 85% less nitrogen oxide emissions than the most commonly used fuels.

Advantages of LNG

Low emissions
Low emissions

LNG generates 20–30% less carbon dioxide (CO2) and as much as 85% less nitrogen oxide emissions than petrol, diesel and heavy fuel oil.

Efficient
Efficient

Low emissions, high energy efficiency. This makes LNG just as energy-efficient a solution as any other fossil fuel.

Stable price
Stable price

The price of LNG fluctuates less than oil-based products. In addition, taxation, regulation and the price of emission allowances, among other things, will favour LNG.

Safe
Safe

Natural gas is a colourless and odourless product that is lighter than air. In addition, its high ignition temperature (580 ˚C) means that it is much safer to handle than many other fuels.
